My name is Ted Tortugar and I was born in 1976 in Germany.

At the age of 5 a paper tablecloth in a restaurant in France was

my first big artwork.

After school I began studying communication design 1993.

In that time my interest in serigrahie grow and grow.

To make money and due to my great interest I became the

head of the serigraph atelier, helping other young artists

to realize their artworks. 

The collecting passion began and within 5 years a huge and

unique collection of hundrets of artists accrued.

 

This unique collection was never showen to the public and

was totally destroyed by floodwaters in 2013.

 

The idea of tortugart was born.
